Belgium's Most Epic Hackathon, Hack the Future! We would like to take a look back with our two winners of the Arxus challenge! Every year, students are triggered to participate in one of challenging tasks and at the same time also get the chance to get to know different Cronos companies. Arxus was also present in December 2021 with the 'Azure Cloud - Quest for Sustainability'. Charon De Beukelaer and Lenny Van de Winkel, two students from Karel De Grote University College, were able to solve the murder case and therefore deservedly won! Congratulations, guys!
We welcomed them to the office this week to talk about the event, introduce Arxus, and more importantly, collect their prize!
The university gave them the opportunity to take part in this hackathon and, in so doing, to sharpen their skills and apply them in practice. They can also skip the usual classes for once. But which challenge will you choose because there are many interesting topics to work on! Charon had a preference for Azure and Security related issues. Lenny, on the other hand, initially needed a little push from his colleague to participate, but in retrospect he is very glad he did. Of course, because they won!
By taking on our challenge and putting on their "cloud-native" caps, they broadened their view and knowledge about the Azure Cloud. They found it a great addition to their curriculum and were able to test out many things on Azure in practice while completing the assignments. And of course, Charon and Lenny could also enjoy our student-centric interpretation of a free takeaway lunch!
In short, both gentlemen recommend their fellow students to participate in our Hack The Future challenge. "Cloud is the future and will come your way sooner or later. An event like Hack The Future is therefore the perfect opportunity to solve a problem together with experts and to broaden your knowledge about certain products." The challenge could even be made a little more difficult. Noted, guys! To the new batch of Hack The Future participants, be warned!
